Colshaw Hall is one of the most beautiful and sought-after wedding venues in Cheshire, and it has also become the venue I photograph at more than anywhere else. I’ve had the privilege of capturing dozens of weddings here over the years, and it remains one of my absolute favourite places to work.
Located near Knutsford in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, Colshaw Hall is an elegant country house wedding venue known for its stunning gardens, lakeside views and beautifully designed ceremony and reception spaces. It offers an incredible backdrop for natural, relaxed and timeless wedding photography.
Having photographed so many weddings here, I know the venue incredibly well. From the ceremony to confetti on the front steps and golden hour portraits around the lake, there are endless opportunities for beautiful photographs throughout the day.

As a wedding photographer working across Cheshire and the North West, Colshaw Hall continues to be one of the venues I return to most frequently. That experience means I know the venue, the timings of the day and the best photo locations extremely well.
Some of the most beautiful moments happen naturally — confetti outside the main entrance, relaxed drinks reception photographs on the lawn or sunset portraits by the lake. With the whole day in one location, couples and guests can relax while everything flows from ceremony to evening celebrations.

The variety of locations around the estate makes Colshaw Hall a fantastic venue for photography. The front of the hall provides a beautiful setting for confetti and group photos, while the gardens and lake offer stunning backdrops for couple portraits throughout the day.
Golden hour here is particularly special. As the sun sets over the grounds, the light across the lake and gardens creates the perfect atmosphere for relaxed portraits before the evening party.
