Planning your wedding photographs at Owen House Wedding Barn
The atmosphere of the ceremony barn
Wooden beams, warm light and the barn’s natural textures help give photographs a strong sense of place. Alongside wider images of the room, I look for the expressions and reactions that tell your story: the anticipation before the ceremony and the celebrations immediately afterwards.
Courtyard photographs and countryside portraits
The courtyard is a natural part of the drinks reception story, while the surrounding farm setting offers different backdrops for portraits. We’ll choose a convenient place for groups and a short route for photographs together. As this is a farm setting, we’ll work within the venue’s access arrangements.
Photographing the evening celebrations
The bar and barn spaces give the evening its own atmosphere. If the weather allows, we can step outside briefly for softer light before returning to the party. Your coverage should leave space for speeches, laughter and dancing, alongside the quieter photographs of the two of you.
How much time should we allow for photographs?
Couple portraits usually take around 10–15 minutes while your guests are being called to dine. Family groups need their own time in the schedule, depending on your list. We’ll discuss both before the wedding, leaving room for the moments that happen naturally.
Can we book Tom or a team photographer?
Yes, subject to availability. Choose Tom or one of our team photographers, with every final photograph personally edited by Tom. Meet Tom and the team and explore our wedding photography to get a feel for the approach.
Photography and videography for your wedding
If you would like a film alongside your photographs, explore our wedding videography and combined photography and film packages. Share your date and venue so we can confirm availability and the coverage that fits your plans.
