Peckforton Castle
wedding photographer

Peckforton Castle has a distinctive sense of occasion: stone corridors, the Great Hall and a courtyard framed by castle walls. Having photographed weddings here, I enjoy balancing that dramatic setting with relaxed photographs of the people and the moments that make the day personal.

Planning your wedding photographs at Peckforton Castle

Capturing the Great Hall ceremony

The height, stonework and stained glass of the Great Hall make it a memorable ceremony space. My approach is to capture its atmosphere as well as your expressions and the reactions around you. We’ll discuss any ceremony photography arrangements in advance so you can concentrate on getting married.

Portraits in the castle courtyard

The courtyard and stone architecture give portraits a strong sense of place without needing to travel away from the venue. We can plan a compact route for photographs together and choose a convenient location for groups. That leaves more of your reception for spending time with family and friends.

Woodland, terraces and changing weather

The surrounding woodland and terraces offer a softer contrast to the castle interiors. We’ll choose a route that suits your clothes, shoes and the conditions on the day. If it rains, the historic interiors can remain part of the story; outdoor sunset portraits are an opportunity when conditions allow, rather than a requirement.

How much time should we allow for photographs?

Couple portraits usually take around 10–15 minutes while your guests are being called to dine. Family groups need their own time in the schedule, depending on your list. We’ll discuss both before the wedding, leaving room for the moments that happen naturally.

Can we book Tom or a team photographer?

Yes, subject to availability. Choose Tom or one of our team photographers, with every final photograph personally edited by Tom. Meet Tom and the team and explore our wedding photography to get a feel for the approach.
