Planning your wedding photographs at Sandhole Oak Barn
Lakeside photographs and the Clock Tower
The lake is one of Sandhole’s defining backdrops. Whether your ceremony is inside the barn or outdoors by the Clock Tower, we can work the waterside setting into your photographs. For portraits, a short break close to the celebration can be enough; there is no need to spend the whole reception walking around the venue.
The barn, drive and vineyard
The oak beams and windows give the barn its character, while the drive and vineyard offer a different setting for portraits outside. We’ll choose locations to suit the light on your day and keep the family photograph plan practical, with a clear group list and time for everyone to enjoy the reception.
Planning for the light over the lake
Evening light over the water can be lovely when conditions are right. We’ll look at the season, ceremony time and meal schedule before deciding whether to allow a second short portrait session. In wet weather, the barn’s textures and window light give us another way to tell the story.
How much time should we allow for photographs?
Couple portraits usually take around 10–15 minutes while your guests are being called to dine. Family groups need their own time in the schedule, depending on your list. We’ll discuss both before the wedding, leaving room for the moments that happen naturally.
Can we book Tom or a team photographer?
Yes, subject to availability. Choose Tom or one of our team photographers, with every final photograph personally edited by Tom. Meet Tom and the team and explore our wedding photography to get a feel for the approach.
